Chronic Low Back Pain
Chronic lower back pain (CLBP) is pain in the lower part of the back that lasts 12 weeks or longer, often continuing even after an initial injury or strain has healed. It’s incredibly common—affecting millions worldwide—and one of the leading causes of time off work and reduced quality of life.
What makes CLBP tricky is that in many cases, there’s no single obvious cause. Unlike acute pain, which might come from a pulled muscle or sudden injury, chronic pain is often the result of a combination of physical, psychological, and lifestyle factors. These can include poor posture, muscle weakness or imbalance, repetitive strain, past injuries, stress, lack of movement, poor sleep, or even fear of movement.
CLBP isn’t just “in your back”—it can influence your whole body and mind. People often describe it as a dull, deep ache, a sharp or burning sensation, stiffness, or even pain that travels down the legs. Left untreated, it can interfere with work, exercise, sleep, and mental wellbeing.
At Reform Clinic, we understand that chronic lower back pain is personal—and complex. That’s why we use a multimodal approach, combining hands-on therapy, targeted rehab, movement retraining, education, and mindset tools to get to the root of the problem—not just the symptoms. Whether your pain has just started or it’s been around for years, we’re here to help you move better, feel stronger, and take back control.
